The night finished up with some of us grabbing some food in Lynhams followed by John Nally breaking out the guitar, thankfully after John’s version of “Wild-thing” Jenny K took over and did a mini impromptu concert for all the Laragh local. Cheesy as it sounds its times like that you got to love boating and all that goes with it.
I have to say thanks to Keoghser for the couch that night & to Brittney the dog for waking me up next morning.
The following few days was a testimonial to the phrase ” Make hay when the sun shines”, with it being a long weekend and the sun shining and rivers running I tried to fit in as many runs as I could in.
One of those trips I was lucky enough to lend a hand to the guys form Lacken Kayak Club who are based just outside of Blessington Co. Wicklow. Brian Keogh aka Keoghser was running the show on the day, down to the work of Brian amongst others that these youngsters are the shining light of the future of Irish Whitewater.
